Veteran can't wait for season to start
A staffing shake-up at the British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) has moved the organisation to delegate handling of its events to an external consultancy from now on.
In future, the BMF will be handing responsibility for its extravaganzas over to Lincolnshire-based Live Promotions, which specialises in outdoor automotive events, including the Donnington and Truckfest shows.
Under this new arrangement, Live Promotions' events director Jason Lunn will now oversee the organisation of the BMF's future displays, with aid from the organisation's own assistant events manager Jane Longthorn.

BMF chairman Anna Zee explained: "It was a hard decision to make - it was not our first preference to outsource our events management but needs must.
"Details of the contract still have to be worked out but we believe that in doing this we have ensured that our events will go ahead this year as normal and that we have done our best to maintain the BMF's principal income stream."
Mr Lunn himself expressed his delight at the opportunity that has been presented to his firm and although he admitted that he and his colleagues are "used to four wheels, not two", he was certain that they would be able to easily adapt.
Live Promotions' first task will be to help put on the BMF show in Peterborough in May, followed by June's Garden of England Motorcycle Show and then the Kelso BikeFest in Scotland in July.
