Stoner says that three's company
Casey Stoner is sitting alongside Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa at the zenith of the MotoGP table and the young Australian says that that is just how he likes it.
After winning the first race of the season in Qatar, Stoner could only finish fifth in the ensuing Spanish GP, but that was still enough to put him into second place for the present on 36 points, nine behind Rossi and dead level with Pedrosa.
Another ten points separate these riders from fourth-placed Colin Edwards and Stoner has told Motor Cycle News that he would be happy if Rossi, Pedrosa and himself could maintain their form and dominate proceedings from now until the end of the season.

He explained: "Nobody else has really been consistently up front.
"Colin has been there quite a lot and it will be interesting to see if his form can continue throughout the season. But it does seem to be myself, Dani and Valentino always continually up front through all sessions and doing good race runs and everybody else seems to be just struggling that little bit more."
Nonetheless, the Ducati rider openly admitted that, while he is now increasingly sure of how and where to ride each race, he failed to convert this into a better finish in Spain than the one he managed.
Next up for Stoner is Turkey, which holds happy memories for the 21-year-old: he took his last ever victory in 250cc racing there in 2005, before managing his first ever podium placement in MotoGP on the same track in 2006.
