TomTom launches motorbike GPS
Leading global positioning system manufacturer TomTom has announced the launch of a new product designed specifically for motorbikes and scooters.
Called the Rider, the gadget can be clipped directly onto the handlebars of a bike and its touch screen has been refined to allow it to be used while wearing gloves.
Waterproof so it can withstand the elements on the front of a bike, the Rider also comes with a Blutooth headset that fits within a helmet.

"TomTom Rider is the first ever navigation solution specifically designed for motorbikers," TomTom chief executive Harold Goddijn said.
"This new Rider gives bike riders more of what they love when navigating on their bikes - high quality, easy to use and safe navigation, in addition to impeccable vocal instruction, smart services and extras to ensure they have a great bike experience."
There are two versions of the product that will eventually be available to bikers. The TomTom Rider Europe will offer directions across the whole of western Europe, while the TomTom Rider Regional covers the UK and Ireland.
TomTom has also just unveiled its new One XL range with larger screens for ease of use, as well as real-time traffic information via a subscription.
