PVMCC prepares for bike festival
The Vintage Motor City Club (VMCC) has announced plans for this years Festival of 1,000 Bikes at Mallory Park.
The 2007 Festival of 1,000 Bikes takes place on the weekend of July 14th and 15th and after a successful re-launch of the event last year, organisers are confident that this year will be another weekend to remember.
A uniquely inclusive event, visitors will be given the opportunity to ride their own bikes in multiple track sessions over the course of the weekend, with categories catering for all types of bike ranging from the vintage collector models all the way to the modern super bikes.
Organisers are also looking to better the 2006 event's line up of famous machines, generally thought to have been the finest in the UK for many years. The VMCC recently announced that the whole Corse Laverda factory team from Italy had confirmed they would be attending the event.

The Italians will bring with them the sensational Laverda V6 endurance racer, which has never before been seen on British shores. The bike will be driven round the Mallory Park track by its co-creator Piero Laverda.
"This is an incredible start for our past Masters line up and with the assistance of Roy Richards and the National Motorcycle Museum who has promised to bring even more bikes and riders than in 2006," said VMCC CEO James Hewing.
"We will again have more historic two wheeled stars in one place than at any other event in the UK," he added.
The event will also include evening entertainment from live bands and some motorcycle celebrities appearing on stage.
