Stoner wants to break French duck
Casey Stoner is hoping to maintain his superb start to the MotoGP season by breaking the habit of a career and obtaining a positive result in France this weekend.
Stoner is currently 15 points clear top in the overall standings after overcoming Valentino Rossi to take his third win in four races in the Chinese GP earlier this month and the Ducati rider aims to continue this form in the forthcoming French GP.
However, he has yet to make the podium in five career races on the Le Mans circuit, missing out on a top-three finish by three seconds there in his first season in MotoGP and he is understandably cautious about his prospects this time around.

The young Australian admitted: "We'll have to wait and see what happens at Le Mans. I've always been around fourth there; in fact, I've finished fourth three times from the last four years."
He added: "I normally go well there in practice, I just don't get it right in the race - maybe this year we can change that."
Much has been made of Ducati's speed advantage so far this season, but Stoner knows that this alone will not bring him victory this weekend and he highlighted the need for good braking, as well as for his bike to cope with the exits of the track's slower corners.
Such factors could prove a real leveller in Le Mans, with second-placed Rossi having vowed to reel Stoner in over the coming run of six European races in a row and the Italian does have an excellent record of seven podiums in 11 races in France.
