Rossi hoping for French revolution
So far this MotoGP season, Valentino Rossi has been overshadowed slightly by Casey Stoner, but the Italian aims to change this with a good result in France this weekend.
Rossi's record in France is excellent, having taken seven podiums, including three victories, in 11 career races on the Le Mans circuit, although his last appearance there ended in disappointment as engine trouble forced him to retire.
The Yamaha rider is therefore eager to banish that unhappy memory with a more satisfactory outcome this time around and is looking forward to the race on a track where he believes he could start to eat into Stoner's 15-point lead at the top of the table.
He explained: "I'm very happy to go back to Europe and this next run of races is over some of my favourite tracks, where I know I'm always strong.

"It's a very busy time with seven races in just over two months, but it's also a key part of the championship and I'm ready to race at 100 per cent."
Taking heart from his second-placed finish in China, Rossi added that he feels his bike is in fine fettle and although it is perhaps lacking slightly in its top speed, he does not believe that this will be a major problem over the next few races.
It was in this run of six European GPs that he recovered from a poor start to last season, with wins in Italy, Catalonia and Germany, as well as a second place in Britain and the 28-year-old will be hoping to hit that sort of form again over the summer months.
