Honda duo happy to make Deutsch mark
Dani Pedrosa ended his long barren spell with a comprehensive victory in the German GP last weekend, while his teammate Nicky Hayden also made the podium.
More than a year had passed since Pedrosa's last win, in the 2006 British GP, but the Catalonian had little trouble in clinching victory in Sachsenring and already enjoyed a 3.5 second advantage by the halfway stage.
His sustained pace had propelled him fully 13 seconds ahead of the chasing pack at the end, while fellow Honda rider Hayden more than compensated for a poor qualifying position with a great recovery that took him into third place for the second race in a row.

Pedrosa commented afterwards: "I'm very, very happy with the result today.
"This is a victory I'd like to dedicate to the Repsol Honda team and to [the Honda Racing Corporation], because they have been working really hard for a long time without getting the results and I'm very happy they've kept motivation and put in maximum effort at every race. Now they have some reward."
He was congratulated on his win by Hayden, who is finally beginning to show a bit of form after a difficult start to the season, although the defending MotoGP champion remained disappointed with the performance of his bike during qualifying.
The American will nonetheless be optimistic about his forthcoming challenge on home soil at Laguna Seca, where he has won both races since its institution as a MotoGP circuit in 2005, while Pedrosa came second in his sole appearance there last year.
