MAG welcomes new anti-drink drive campaign
The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) has welcomed the government's recent change of approach to tackling drink driving, claiming that it could save riders' lives as well.
With many young drivers similarly unaffected by previous images focusing on the casualties caused by drink driving, the new Moments of Doubt initiative seeks to warn them of other consequences, such as a driving ban, a criminal record and job loss.
This change in tack has the full support of MAG, whose own campaigns manager David Short promised that the organisation is fully behind both the government and the police in their efforts to erase this irresponsible crime from Britain's roads.

He explained: "Motorcyclists are often the victims of dangerous and careless driving by others.
"This danger is further compounded if the driver is under the influence of drink."
Concerns over young motorists ignoring the danger of taking to the road while under the influence were seemingly confirmed last month by the release of police figures showing that one in four drivers convicted of the crime in London are aged between 18 and 24.
The issue of motorcyclist safety has also gained greater prominence of late, following the announcement of official figures showing that nearly 600 riders were killed in the UK last year, up five per cent from 2005.
