Australians await Stoner's homecoming
Casey Stoner's dominance of this year's MotoGP contest has generated huge excitement in his home nation, where Australians are eagerly awaiting the race in October.
The 21-year-old Ducati rider is now 60 points clear at the top of the championship and the Australian MotoGP Corporation has been forced to extend seating arrangements to cater for his fans.
Stoner has won seven of the 12 races he has entered this season, leaving seven-times world champion Valentino Rossi struggling in his wake.
With the Australian MotoGP taking place between October 12th and October 14th, the Australian MotoGP Corporation has had to act quickly.

Drew Ward from the Australian MotoGP Corporation said: "Not since the glory days of Wayne Gardner and Mick Doohan more than a decade ago have we seen such attention on the GP.
"We've said all along that we'll review our grandstand build and cater to demand where necessary. With our present grandstand ticket offering almost full to capacity, we are delighted to announce that we will be extending each of the four grandstands for the October 12th to 14th race."
While Stoner is clearly the star attraction, Australians will also turn out in force for Suzuki rider Chris Vermeulen, who currently lies in fourth position in the championship.
With fans expected to flock to see both riders, the new grandstands are likely to boost capacity at the track by around 40 per cent.
