MAG does Europe
The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) is to participate in an event that will enable it to discuss motorcycling issues with Europe's key decision makers.
Officials from MAG will join members of the European Parliament (MEPs) on their annual ride next month and will use the opportunity to talk with them about this year's theme of urban transport and motorcycle safety.
In particular, the debate will focus on the Federation of European Motorcyclists' Association's (FEMA's) adjusted European Agenda for Motorcycle Safety and the European Commission's Green Paper on Urban Transport.

MAG general secretary Trevor Baird commented: "The annual MEP ride gives the 23 organisations that make up FEMA the chance to sit down in front of their MEPs to discuss national and pan-European issues.
"The event has become an essential part of MAG's lobbying and is one of the most popular events for European parliamentarians."
This occasion will also direct attention to the European Parliament Transport Committee's rejection of proposals to improve road safety infrastructure that could have potentially saved the lives of motorcyclists across the bloc.
FEMA fiercely criticised that decision and was one of a number of organisations that recently put their name to an open letter demanding that the proposals be reconsidered and ultimately implemented.
