Motorbike riders in Preston 'face threat from roads at full capacity'
People riding motorbikes through Preston may find that they face a number of delays due to roads packed with motorists, a local news source has reported.
According to the Lancashire Evening Post, traffic degenerates to a crawling pace during peak times, something that may see riders lose their cool and attempt a rash manoeuvre.
It may be that such behaviour sees them risk their bike insurance policies.
Maintenance work is also playing a part in the problem, with minor highways blocked due to nearby roadworks, the source added.
Motorbike Insurance - Great quotes!
The smallest amount of work can result in the largest of inconveniences for motorists, commented PC Dave Taylor, traffic management officer for Preston police.
All motorists in the area may be interested to know that the Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety has commented that it will be upping the amount of speed camera sites in the region, the Lancashire Evening Post has also reported.
This could have an adverse effect on drivers if they are found to be breaking the law on a gatso, as they can receive penalty points on their licence in addition to a fine.
