Dodgy parkers subject of new supermarket crackdown
People who are parking in spaces outside supermarkets not meant for them could find that they face punishment for doing so in the near future.
The Maghull and Aintree Star has commented that three stores in Liverpool have announced that they will be taking action against those who think that they can use parent and child and disabled spots and get away with it.
Motorists who do so could face a £60 fine for pulling the stunt at three Asda supermarkets in the region and with a motoring conviction likely to compromise a senior car insurance policy, such a punishment may get them to stop.

Paul Hedley, customer service manager for the supermarket giant, commented that drivers should not be using the spaces for their own personal gain.
He said: "By using these bays without good reason, the actions of the few have a huge impact on many. Most of us are guilty of taking our able-bodied status for granted."
Tesco was caught up in a petrol scandal earlier this year when petrol at their forecourts in the south of England was found to be contaminated with a silicon compound.
By way of apology, the firm offered to pay the costs of any vehicle repairs, while they also took out a two-page advertisement in national newspapers in order to say sorry.
