Rogue parkers at school under police microscope
Police in Northamptonshire are to crack down on the number of drivers flouting parking laws in the region, according to a local news source.
The Northants Evening Telegraph commented that zebra crossing on Henshaw Road in Wellingborough are not being kept clear, resulting in officers issuing tickets to those causing the obstructions.
As a result, it may be that the owners of the offending vehicles pick up motoring convictions, which could in turn have an effect on their bike insurance policies.
This is because cover companies often refuse to give cheap deals to those who have a poor record on the road.

Local Police Community Support Officer Phil Wane stated that the move comes due to increased public demand.
"We had reports from schools that parking was a problem, with people parking on bus stops, zig zags and a zebra crossing," said the official.
Meanwhile, boys and girls at Katherine's School in Essex have taken to the streets in order to curb the number of speeding motorists.
The pupils have been assisting local officers track drivers who flout the law, the Harlow Herald has reported.
