Motoring assist group distributes nearly 1m booklets
A booklet from a roadside assistance company which outlines how people can stay safe while travelling on the road alone has been picked up by close to one million motorists, it has been claimed.
The guide, which offers advice on dealing with a road rage incident or confrontational highway user has been particularly popular with women, according to GEM Motoring Assist.
Company chief executive David Williams believes that this is because more females are taking on higher profile roles with greater responsibility.

"Today's professional woman needs to feel safe and secure while going about her business or travelling for leisure and pleasure and this booklet gives a series of important pointers," said the expert.
It could also be that the information provided results in motorists avoiding collisions and saving on their car and bike insurance policies in the future.
Cover companies will often choose to offer cheaper policies to those drivers who do not have a history of road incidents.
Meanwhile, Hampshire News states that a Harley Wintey van driver has been attacked in an unprovoked road rage incident.
