Vehicles targeted in Warwickshire
Automobile owners in Warwickshire may want to keep a closer eye on their vehicles following a spate of thefts in the region.
The icCoventry states that incidents on Wednesday December 5th and Thursday December 6th resulted in four automobiles being broken into.
A car in Church Street in Leamington was targeted, with a satellite navigation system and CD player being taken - something which may affect cover policies in the region.
Indeed, if bike insurance companies consider the area to be particularly dangerous, they may increase prices in order to reflect the level of risk.
Motorcycle Insurance - Great quotes!
This comes as a police official in Greater Manchester has commented on the need to make sure all risk to vehicles is kept to a minimum this Christmas.
"By ensuring that keys are not left easily accessible through letterboxes or windows, the public can help us to reduce offences even further," remarked Glen Draper, Stockport CID detective constable.
Figures from the Home Office show that there has been a 51 per cent drop in reported vehicle crime since 1997.
However, there were still approximately 1.6 million cases of automobiles being targeted over the course of 2005 and 2006.
