Police crackdown on Shelley Park rogue drivers
A new initiative from police officers in Derbyshire will see them clamp down on motorists who continue to break the law close to a park in the region, it has been reported.
Chesterfield Today comments that people living close to Shelley Park have complained about drivers using the area in an illegal fashion, raising the matter with the Parkhouse Safer Neighbourhood Team.
The news source adds that Police Community Support Officer Lesley Bacon would like to see the team "solve this problem" and cut the risk of accidents illegal motoring behaviour presents.

Indeed, it may be that if cover companies believe that the area has become safer, motorists living nearby pay less for their car insurance policies.
"Safer Neighbourhoods is about working together and that is what we are doing here. We will continue our patrols and take action against these nuisance drivers," commented the official.
This comes as the Derbyshire Times comments that officers in the county are appealing for witnesses to comes forward with information on a crash which left a motorist dead on the M1 last Friday.
