Battle of the sexes 'exists in motor industry'
New research suggests that the battle of the sexes is till going strong in the motor industry.
According to an Auto Trader study cited in Motor Trader, female car buyers believe that males are treated better when it comes to purchasing a vehicle.
It added that 70 per cent of women do not want this divide to exist and would prefer a more equal marketplace.

However, female motorists do often get the best deals when it comes to car and bike insurance, as cover companies usually consider women to be better drivers and thus less likely to be involved in an accident caused by risky behaviour.
The research comes following a study from evecars.com reported by Motor Trader into the perceived physical attractiveness of people who drive certain types of car.
Women who take to the road in convertible sports vehicles were cited as the most attractive, it found.
"The men we polled love the idea of a woman at the wheel of a high performance car, but only if she knows how to handle it," said Alex Jenner-Fust, evecars.com editor.
