Petrol price increase 'big worry for drivers'
Motorists in the UK have revealed their biggest worries regarding driving in Britain, it has been reported.
According to Motor Trader, a poll from Motors.co.uk shows that the cost of petrol is of most concern to drivers, with 63 per cent claiming an increase is their biggest road fear.
Similarly, congestion is the second-biggest worry among motorists, with 21 per cent calling it a potential problem, the figures show.
It may be that an increase in the number of vehicles in the road results in higher car insurance policies, as firms could see more automobiles as indicative of a greater road risk.

Another worry cited was environmental issues, which affected 14 per cent, while more than a third (34 per cent) said that they would be buying their next car based on its petrol consumption and cost.
However, the effort involved in filling up at the station may soon be alleviated by a new invention from the Netherlands.
Nico van Staveren has created the Tankpitstop, a robot which adds petrol for drivers while they wait, Reuters reports.
Mr van Staveren said: "Drivers needn't get dirty hands or smell of petrol again."
