New parking regulations 'may affect unwitting motorists'
Motorbike riders may find that they have picked up a parking conviction weeks after the offence was committed under new rules, it has been reported.
Which? Legal Service states that new rules coming into effect from March 31st mean that a driver can pick up tickets in the post if they are caught breaking the law on CCTV.
This could prove to be a particular unwelcome addition to those already paying out expensive car insurance and road tax bills.
Joanne Lezemore, Which? Legal Service senior lawyer, comments that it will be harder for people to dodge convictions in the future.

"The new parking regulations mean that you could wake up one morning to find a ticket in your post, which makes it difficult to collect evidence if you want to appeal," said the official.
Meanwhile, the Mid Sussex Today reports that motorists parking in Hyde Gardens on a Sunday will soon have to pay for the privilege.
The news source comments that Eastbourne Borough Council wants to bring in the charge due to increased trade on Sundays in the area.
