Bikers struggle with Cambridgeshire winds
Bikers in the Cambridgeshire area may have experienced difficulties making journeys this morning due to severe weather conditions.
The Hunts Post reports that gales as strong as 50 mph hit the region during rush hour and caused a number of incidents on the road.
At 08:00 GMT, police officers were called out to deal with a palette which had spilled from the back of a truck onto the M11 close to junction ten, the news source states, with bikers having to swerve to avoid a collision.

Elsewhere, a caravan was blown from a vehicle an hour before due to the high winds, causing a hold-up to nearby motorists.
Such incidents can have an effect on bike insurance policies, with motorists potentially finding that cover companies are reluctant to offer cheap deals to those with a recent history of poor road behaviour.
This comes as the Lancashire Evening Post reports that harsh winds are expected around Preston throughout the course of the day.
According to the news source, gales as strong as 80 mph are to hit coastal regions of the town.
