Tyre damage at road works site 'upsetting motorists'
A road works site has caused concerns over damage to vehicles in Basingstoke, according to a local news source.
The Basingstoke Gazette has reported that road surfacing work in Romsey is causing problems for motorists in that they are slashing their tyres and scraping their cars passing it.
It may be that people who damage their vehicles in such a manner find that they compromise their car or bike insurance policies.
This is because some firms could consider them to be risky motorists and as a result increase their prices.

A representative speaking on behalf of Hampshire County Council stated that numerous complaints from angry drivers have been received, but the responsibility lies with the firm carrying out the work.
"Signage for temporary surface and ramps, etc, had been erected, warning drivers to be careful...The contractor is responsible for making the site safe and open to traffic after each shift," said the spokesperson.
Meanwhile, motorists in Newbury are to be inconvenienced by road works in the area for a further four weeks, it has been reported.
The Newbury Today has stated that the maintenance work was originally due to be finished by Easter.
