Officers targeted drivers flouting road rules
Motorists who break road rules by travelling through pedestrian parts of Peterborough are to be targeted by police in the city, a local news source has reported.
According to the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, officials in the region have been monitoring the Long Causeway and Cathedral Square areas between 10:30 and 16:30 BST.
Those who are caught out may find that their car insurance policies become invalidated, as cover firms could view them to be a significant risk on the roads and increase the cost of bills in accordance.

Indeed, motorists behaving badly has become a big issue for people living locally, said Police Sergeant Paul Nightingale.
"This has been an ongoing operation over the last few months and was raised as one of the priorities at the last police panel meeting, indicating it has importance for residents," remarked the official.
Meanwhile, a supermarket in the area is to target motorists parking in disabled bays unlawfully, it has been reported.
The Peterborough Evening Telegraph has commented that bosses at an Asda store will issue £60 fines to those caught breaking the law in such a fashion.
