Do not go on the grass, Peak District motorists told
Drivers visiting the Peak District are to be informed where it is acceptable to take their vehicles in the area and where it is not, according to a local news source.
The Yorkshire Post has reported that the Peak District National Park Authority has teamed up with local police officials in order to set up a new website and print leaflets pertaining to motorists who take their vehicles across parks.
It may be that drivers who pick up a conviction for such an offence find that they compromise their bike insurance policies as a result, as cover firms could view their behaviour as indicative of a road threat.

"The issue of use of the countryside by 4x4s and trail bikes is one of the most difficult we face," said councillor Andrew Marchington, chairman of the Peak District National Park Authority services committee.
Officials at Cod Back Reservoir beauty spot recently modified the site's car park in an effort to alleviate traffic across the area, the Darlington & Stockton Times has reported.
