TV campaign 'cracking down' on motorbike safety
Midlands Today is set to film at a busy motorcycling hotspot in Shropshire as part of efforts to crack down on motorbike safety, according to a local newspaper.
The Shropshire star reported that the Swancote Country Club near Bridgenorth attracts around 1,000 motorcyclists per week to the area. The region has recently been named the motorcycle accident and death capital of the UK.
It is hoped that the filming - which will be broadcast live on television - may help promote motorcycle safety in the region.

According to UK motorcycle safety charity BikeSafe, the most common motorbike accident type at junctions occur when another vehicle crossed the motorcyclist's path while entering or leaving side roads and private drives.
The charity has also claimed that over one in five motorcycle accidents occur at junctions and roundabouts where the motorcyclist had the right of way.
It suggested that bike insurance customers ensure they are aware of other vehicles around them and when possible, anticipate concealed drives and side roads.
Speed and visibility are also important aspects for motorbike riders to take into consideration.
