YouTube clip urges eco-conscious driving
The European Union (EU) has used popular video-sharing website YouTube in order to inform drivers how they can reduce their carbon footprint, it has been reported.
According to Earth Times, the clip from the EU shows a number of different ways in which motorists can keep their emissions in check.
This includes using the air conditioning system in a vehicle less as well as keeping tyre pressures at the correct level, it added.

It may be that those who prove their green credentials receive cheaper bike insurance policies, as some cover firms offer less expensive deals for those who are environmentally-friendly while travelling.
"The name of the game when it comes to consuming less is to reach your cruising speed fairly quickly and then to use the highest gear possible," the clip states.
But this is not the first time that YouTube has been used in order to get across an important message from government officials.
Last year, the Department for Transport used the channel in order to broadcast clips to young people informing them of the dangers of behaving badly on the road.
