Classic car new weapon to catch out speeding motorists
A new weapon is being employed by police in Longridge in an attempt to catch out drivers who exceed the speed limit, a local news source has reported.
Longridge News states that officials have installed a Morris Minor panda car dubbed Old Bill as the mascot of its Operation Pandas campaign against the rogue travellers.
It is being driven around parts of the town known as speeder hotspots in an effort to remind motorists not to break the law in such a way.

Indeed, riders found above the speed limit may find that their bike insurance policies become invalidated if officials catch them out, as cover firms could view their actions indicative of a rogue road user.
"We have increased the use of the car quite dramatically and we are covering many thousands of miles per year and consequently we are able to be more pro-active in more communities throughout our operational areas," according to Will Hull, who owns Old Bill.
This comes as research from GfK NOP has found Morris Minor to be car brand name most evocative of the UK among 500 people surveyed, Motorinsurance.co.uk has reported.
