Charity bikers could win alpine holiday

A BMW bike and a ten-day holiday in the Alps are the prizes for the winner of this year's Essex Air Ambulance's motorcycle run which takes place on September 7th.

The biker who completes the run, the charity's biggest annual fundraiser, will win a BMW G650 X Moto donated by Cannon Motorcycles and the holiday from Austrian Motorcycle Tours - both prizes which may be of interest to motorcycle insurance customers.

Gates open at 8:00 GMT for the run, which starts at Ford Dunton. Bikers will set off on the Essex Police-approved route after world champion stunt rider Craig Jones entertains them with one of his routines.

They will then head towards the A12 via the A127 and A130 before joining the A120 and end the ride in Harwich, in time to take part in the town's festival.

Wendy Byland, of Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust, said: "We hope that this is just the start of our relationship and, in particular, we hope that they will also be part of our landmark tenth motorcycle run next year."

To sign up for the event supporters can pre-register at EssexAirAmbulance.uk.com and their details will be automatically entered into the prize draw.

Essex FM will announce the winner on September 9th.
