Suzuki GB sponsoring charity ride
Motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki has announced that it will sponsor a round-the-world charity bike ride called Biking for Barnados, bike insurance holders and other fans of two-wheeled vehicles have been told.
Morecambe locals David Snelling and Curtis Murphy will set out on their epic trip on June 14th riding Suzuki V-Strom 650Xs.
The pair - who have taken three years to plan their travels - will start from the statue of Eric Morecambe in their hometown and aim to finish in the middle of November on the east coast of Canada.

Mr Snelling and Mr Murphy, who only passed their motorcycle tests just over a year ago, will pass through 16 countries to get to their final destination.
Commenting on their adventure, Mr Snelling said: "It is a dream for both of us to be able to attempt this trip, but we felt we really needed to raise the awareness of the Barnardo foundation at the same time."
In other charity biking news, entries into September's charity motorcycle run to raise funds for the Essex Air Ambulance could win a BMW G650 X Moto or a ten-day holiday in the Austrian Alps, according to the Gazette News.
