Speeders given course to change their ways
People who break the speed limit in an area of Merseyside are to be given the chance to take a course in order to rehabilitate themselves, according to a local news source.
The class is being offered to drivers rather than a more conventional punishment such as three points on their driving licence or a £60 fine, the Wirral Globe has reported.
Motorists may find the course a more attractive option, as a road conviction can see them struggle to pick up a car or bike insurance policy in the future.

This is because some cover companies may decide to offer more expensive deals to those who have a proven record as a dangerous driver.
Christopher Markey remarked that the scheme has been designed to reduce the number of casualties on the road.
He said: "Motorists attending the course will learn about hazard awareness, speeding consequences and tips on how to keep themselves and others safe."
This follows statistics released by the Department for Transport which show that there were some 3,150 people killed on roads in the UK over the course of 2006.
