Welsh danger road 'needs additional signage'

A dangerous road in Wales is in need of extra signage if motorists travelling on it are to be kept safe, it has been stated.

The claim comes from Gail Dixon, who earlier this year lost her 18-year-old son Aaron just after Christmas in a collision on the A5 close to Corwen and Llangollen, according to the Daily Post.

Signage needs to be installed as she does not "want anyone else to lose a loved one on this horrendous road", Ms Dixon remarked.

"There needs to be more warning signs to let drivers know that the road is slippery, it would also be a good idea for the road surface to be improved and reduce the possibility of any accidents," she said.

It may be that fewer collisions in the area results in cheaper motorbike insurance policies for local drivers, as cover firms could drop prices.

The plea comes following a similar road death in the area reported by the same news source earlier this month.

A 19-year-old man was killed after a crash on the A496 close to Llanaber near Barmouth.
