Go-karting track hosts road safety seminar
Police officers in Scotland are to hold a road safety conference at a go-karting track later this month, it has been reported.
According to the Aberdeen Press & Journal, Grampian Police will be informing 17 to 25-year-olds at Grampian Karting Club near Banf of how they can stay safe when travelling on highways.
The demographic, which suffers the most automobile accidents every year, may be able to save on their motorcycle insurance policies as a result. This is because fewer accidents usually results in cheaper deals.
The news source added that local constable Julie Bremner has been delighted by the support the karting club has given the initiative.
She said: "We would not be currently able to offer these training days if we did not have the support from the local community and businesses."
This comes as a primary school in Northamptonshire has been praised for its work on road safety.
According to the Harborough Mail, pupils from Naseby Primary School performed admirably when it came to related numerous highways issues, the Northamptonshire Casualty Reduction Partnership has commented.
