Over 300 attend annual bike show

Over 300 motorbike enthusiasts attended an annual bike show held by the 4Fs motorcycle club in Suffolk. The rally, which lasted for three days, was held at the Trimley Sports and Social Club and attracted bikers from all over the UK, reports the Evening Star.

As well as providing an opportunity to socialise and compare bikes, the event also aimed to raise around £1,000 for a five-year-old girl with severe disabilities. Gary Baker, secretary of the club, commented: "There were some impressive bikes on show and there were five different categories in the show. "It was a great atmosphere. Plus we were very lucky with the weather."

He added that some motorbikes had been brought to the event from as far away as Germany and Belgium. In related news, a couple from Scotland are planning to journey from Alaska to the southern-most tip of South America on a specially set up Yamaha bike to raise money for the Yorkhill Sick Kids' Hospital and SCIAF.

Bikers thinking of travelling to a show abroad or undertaking a bike tour should ensure that they have taken out proper motorcycle insurance to protect them in the event of an accident or a breakdown.
