AA picks Suzuki for faster response times

The AA has announced that it will be using a new fleet of Suzuki scooters so that it can answer callouts faster in three of the UK's major cities.

Motorcycles have recently made a reappearance in the breakdown service's team and the company has now included Suzuki Burgman 650s. London and Birmingham will receive six of the vehicles, while Manchester will get four. The two-wheeled machines will have standard features apart from the additions of a new top-box, Garmin Zumo Sat Nav and safety beacons.

Suzuki's bikes are now in operation for the company decked out in the firm's distinctive yellow and black colours. Alan Garret, of supplying dealer Motts in Basingstoke, commented: "We are very happy to assist the AA in their return to bike use. "As we all know, motorcycles offer a great solution to beating congestion, and so it's great to see a well-known organisation maximise the potential of two-wheels again."

In related news, two superbike riders took to the streets of London in a promotion for the latest Ducati Puma range, reports Motorcycle News. Bikers thinking of investing in a new machine or novices looking for their first vehicle should ensure that they take out motorcycle insurance.
