Yamaha YBT125 Custom reaches UK
Motorcycle insurance customers eagerly awaiting the arrival of Yamaha's YBR125 Custom may be pleased to know the first shipment has arrived in the UK.
The new motorcycle features a similar single-cylinder air-cooled powerplant to the original YBR125 but also includes an "ultra-low" seat and high handlebars that provide "a relaxed and comfortable cruiser-type ride", the manufacturer said.
Yamaha fans can pick up the YBR125 in several colours, including midnight black and light grey metallic.
Priced at £1,999, the bike is also included in Yamaha's free or subsidised motorbike insurance scheme over the next few weeks.
The Japanese company has been enjoying success in the UK market in recent months, with its new YZFR125 topping the sales charts for three consecutive months in July.
Yamaha said both "teenage and mature" riders were choosing to purchase the YZFR125.
Meanwhile, the YBR125, described by the firm as an "extremely capable and economic" bike, was the second most-sought after motorcycle in the UK last month.
Geoff Selvidge, divisional manager for motorcycles at Yamaha, said "Once again the figures show that the YBR125 is the motorcycle to have for riders wanting to beat congestion and reduce the cost of commuting."
