Triumph launches new bike
Triumph is to launch its new Street Triple R motorbike on the Isle of Man in recognition of its biking heritage.
Bike insurance customers will be able to catch a glimpse of the new machine along with bike journalists from around the world at the launch, which is also being used to promote the TT race.
Paul Taylor, PR and communications coordinator at Triumph Motorcycles, said: "We chose the Isle of Man because of the Island's iconic status within the industry and the tourist board's enthusiasm for the project."
Isle of Man tourism and leisure minister Martin Quayle said he was "really pleased" Triumph had chosen to launch the new motorcycle on the island, claiming that it is a "strong endorsement" of the effort put into promoting the TT.
"The increasingly favourable media comments also reflect the hard work that everyone in the TT organisation has put in to improve the event," he added.
Last year, Triumph launched the Tiger 1050 and the Street Triple, both of which received recognition from motorbike magazines around the world.
This year, the company updated its Daytona 675 and brought out a special edition of the popular bike.
