Prince Harry passes his motorcycle test

As well as motorcycle insurance, Prince Harry will have additional protection when he takes to the roads after passing his motorcycle test - his bodyguards.

The Sun reports that Harry passed his test after undertaking a training course and is believed to be riding his brother William's Honda Super Blackbird.

However, to enable the royal to take to the highway, police riders are having to ride alongside him and sources told the newspaper that concern has been raised about what can be done to ensure his safety.

"Motorbikes are extremely dangerous and there is only so much Harry's security team can do to protect him," the source remarked.

His older brother has already given him a "pep talk" on riding a bike on the road, the source noted.

"But Harry already appears a better rider and is far more fearless," they added.

According to the newspaper, Prince Charles is understood to be uneasy about his sons riding motorcycles and would prefer them to stick to driving their cars.

The Daily Telegraph recently reported that the two princes were planning to embark upon a 1,000-mile motorcycle trek across Africa to raise money for charity.
