Motorcross rider's bike stolen

A keen motorcross rider has had a bike which he only purchased six months ago stolen from his home in Bedworth.

The Coventry Telegraph reports that Jordan Allsop, who rode his bike at a friend's farm, reported that his £1,000 motorbike, mountain bike and helmet were stolen by thieves.

However, the bike was not covered by his family's home insurance policy, motorbike insurance customers may be interested to learn.

Jordan's mother, Kem Bendall, said her son was "broken-hearted" and "absolutely devastated" that his bike had been stolen.

"Where it was in the garage it was squashed that tight in the corner, there were two mountain bikes and a fridge freezer. They knew what they were coming for," Ms Bendall remarked.

"The door handle was completely broken and they had used bolt cutters as it was all chained up in the garage," she added.

Warwickshire police are now investigating the theft, according to the newspaper.

Earlier this month, police in Leicestershire appealed for information following the theft of a motorbike from a car park in the area.

It is thought the black Kawasaki ZR1000AIH may have been lifted onto the back of another vehicle by thieves.
