Bikers set off on charity ride
Three recruitment workers could be hoping their motorbike insurance is up to speed during a charity ride.
Based on the Long Way Round journey made by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, three Select Appointments employees have embarked on a 14-day motorbike trip, London Bikers reports.
The Select Way Round will see the trio ride through some 17 countries in order to raise money for Tomorrow's People.
Each day Rod Jackson, David Buist and Lee Davies will spend up to 18 hours in the seats of their motorbikes, which each weigh around a third of a ton fully laden.
They will cover 30,000 miles and are due to arrive back in the UK on September 24th to complete the final leg to the firm's Luton head office.
It is hoped their efforts will raise £30,000 for the charity, which helps change the lives of people in the UK by breaking the cycle of unemployment.
Actors McGregor and Boorman completed their mammoth motorbike journey in 2004, travelling 20,000 miles from London to New York in 115 days.
In 2007 the pair embarked on a 15,000-mile ride from John O'Groats to Cape Town, which took them 85 days.
