TV director chooses new Honda
TV director and producer Ed Bye has taken delivery of a new Honda DN-01 to help improve his commute across London.
Motorcycle insurance customers may be more familiar with some of the people Bye has worked with during his career, including Eddie izzard, Lenny Henry and French and Saunders, but most will recognise the pedigree of his new set of wheels.
The DN-01 features a compact 660cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected V-twin engine and a human-friendly transmission system.
Bye said he was unsure whether the bike could meet his expectations but the "seamless power delivery, comfort and handling" convinced him of the bike's quality design.
"The DN-01 is perfect for these sorts of journeys as it includes heavy traffic, dual carriageways and the odd stretch of motorway," he commented.
"Being a TV director, a bike's looks are bound to be important to me. I'm also six-foot three so I need something with a longish wheelbase to give myself a shot at looking good sitting on it," he added.
Earlier this week, Honda announced the launch of a new World premier model at the Cologne Motorcycle Show.
The CBF125 features the company's four-cylinder V-engine and is being showcased along with the rest of the company's 2009 range of bikes.
