Teen offers reward for return of stolen bike
A Daventry teenager is offering a reward to help him recover his stolen vehicle and avoid a claim on his motorbike insurance.
Nathaniel Carter received his Hyosung 125cc bike as a Christmas present, but the £1,400 machine was taken from outside his home in Stefen Hill earlier this month.
According to the Daventry Express, the theft could put an end to the 18-year-old's hopes of successfully completing his studies at Warwickshire College in Leamington.
Mr Carter says he will now struggle to get to work, meaning his engineering apprenticeship and future studies might be at risk.
"I just do not see why these people do it. Is it really worth screwing up someone's life for the couple of hours fun that you had?" he asked.
The bike, which was almost brand new and had only 600 miles on the clock, was bought by his dad as a combined birthday and Christmas present.
Mr Carter is now offering a £200 reward for any information leading to the return of the vehicle, without which he would have to pay around £10 a day in order to get to college using the bus.
A motorbike enthusiast in Surrey recently donated £250 to help towards the cost of a new vehicle after an 11-year old boy had his dirt bike stolen from outside his home by thieves.
