To celebrate the arrival of the Superbike World Championship to Castle Donington, it has been announced that Carl Fogarty will be the Champion leading the Superbike Stars through the village in a parade of Superbike celebration.

The Championship heads to Castle Donington on the 27th - 29th May for an action packed weekend of racing. The parade will take place the weekend before on the 22nd May to welcome crowds and fans to the area. The parade will begin at 1pm with riders completing several laps of the streets before stopping for photos and autographs with fans at the end. Stars taking place in the parade are bikers such as Alex Lowes, Tom Sykes and Karel Abraham along with other WSB stars.

Four time champion Carl Fogarty will be sure to bring excitement to the atmosphere for anticipating fans making it a parade not to be missed. If you're planning on heading up, the parade covers laps of Borough Street, The Hollow, Clapgun Street and Apiary gate before coming to an end in the Assembly area outside Castle Donington Methodist Church. This parade allows fans to get closer to the stars than ever before and more importantly is free of charge.

Donington Park Managing Director Christopher Tate had this to say about the parade: "The parade into the village will be a fantastic way to kick start our build up to the only UK round of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. With the world's leading riders taking to the streets of the historic village, we will put on a unique display and allow fans to get closer to the stars than ever before, free of charge! Our thanks to go Castle Donington Parish Council for agreeing to close the streets for a few hours on a Sunday afternoon for what should be a fantastic occasion."
